Dr. Diana Heard
Diana D. Heard, MD, is a board-certified OBGYN practicing at Glendale Obstetrics and Gynecology, PC in Glendale, Arizona.
Dr. Heard is a native of Detroit, Michigan. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 2002. She completed her training in obstetrics and gynecology at Hurley Medical Center, a division of Michigan State University, in Flint, Michigan, in 2006.
Dr. Heard is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In 2008, she decided to move from the cold winters in Michigan and join her new family at Glendale OBGYN. Her interests include providing care to pregnant patients, preventative care and education, and community outreach.
Outside of the office, Dr. Heard’s hobbies include spending quality time with her family, exercising, cooking, traveling, and reading.
She looks forward to welcoming new and returning patients to Glendale Obstetrics and Gynecology, PC.
Nicola Torres, WHNP-BC
Meet Nikki, our compassionate and dedicated nurse practitioner at Glendale OB/GYN! Nikki’s journey in healthcare began with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati. After gaining valuable experience in private practice, she brought her passion for women’s health to our team.
Nikki specializes in providing exceptional preventive care for women at every stage of life. She’s a big believer in health education, working closely with her patients to ensure they feel empowered and informed about their care. From menopause evaluations and comprehensive treatment options to helping new mothers through postpartum depression, Nikki is committed to providing personalized, compassionate support. She also has extensive experience in treating hormone deficiencies using Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), helping women restore balance and feel their best.
Outside of the office, Nikki’s love for adventure shines as she travels the world, exploring new places and cultures. Her blend of expertise and warm, approachable nature makes her a wonderful part of our team—and someone we’re sure you’ll love too!
Shannyn Werra, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Shannyn moved to Phoenix in 2018 to escape the cold and now calls the desert home with her husband, three children, and their three dogs.
She brings over 10 years of OB experience and a deep passion for patient-centered care. Shannyn believes in truly listening to her patients, making sure they feel seen, heard, and empowered in every step of their health journey.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alverno College and went on to receive her Midwifery degree from Frontier Nursing University.
Her mission? To educate and support women so they feel confident and informed when making decisions about their care.
Outside of work, you’ll find her exploring new recipes, off-the-grid camping, racing around in her razor, or floating down the Salt River.
Claudia Teran, APRN- FNP
Claudia Teran is a dedicated and experienced Foreign physician graduate of La Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, currently working as an ARNP in Glendale, Arizona . With over 16 years of experience in OBGYN, she spent more than six years practicing in Colombia before bringing her expertise to the United States.
Claudia provides comprehensive women’s healthcare across all age groups. She specializes in prenatal and postpartum care, annual examinations, family planning, and all forms of contraception, including IUD and Nexplanon insertions. She also treats conditions such as irregular periods, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and menopausal symptoms, offering both hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options. Additionally, she performs a variety of in-office procedures.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Claudia ensures that her patients feel comfortable, understood, and well cared for during every visit
